Two-peptide blend

BPC-TBresearch overview.

BPC-TB is a blend of two separate synthetic peptides, BPC-157 and TB-500, in equal parts by mass. No published study of a pre-mixed blend was found; one 2026 rat study tested the two peptides individually and together.

Overview

BPC-TB is not a single compound. Each vial holds two separate synthetic peptides in equal parts by mass: BPC-157, a 15-residue peptide whose sequence is a partial sequence of a protein reported in gastric juice 1, and TB-500, the N-acetylated 17–23 fragment of thymosin β4, Ac-LKKTETQ 2.

The two peptides are not chemically linked. Research on each is summarised in its own overview, and this page covers only what is specific to the blend.

Components

BPC-157: Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. Molecular formula C62H98N16O22, molecular weight 1419.5 g/mol, CAS 137525-51-0.

TB-500: Ac-Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln. Molecular formula C38H68N10O14, molecular weight 889.0 g/mol, CAS 885340-08-9.

Because TB-500 is the smaller molecule, equal masses do not mean equal numbers of molecules. A 1:1 blend by mass holds about 1.6 molecules of TB-500 for each molecule of BPC-157. The batch certificate reports identity and purity for each component separately.

What has been studied

This summary found no published study of a pre-mixed BPC-157 and TB-500 blend, and no study of the two peptides in this 1:1 ratio by mass.

One study has tested the two peptides in the same experiment. Biçer et al. (2026) used a rat model of surgically repaired Achilles tendon transection, with four groups: controls, BPC-157, TB-500, and both peptides together. After four weeks they measured maximum load to failure and scored histology with the Bonar and Movin systems, comparing each group with controls 3. Differences were reported for some measures in the TB-500 group and for one histology score in the combined group; no measure was reported for a pre-mixed blend. The paper describes TB-500 as synthetic thymosin β4, and the abstract does not say whether the material was the Ac-LKKTETQ fragment or the full-length protein.

Research areas

  • Identity of the TB-500 component as Ac-LKKTETQ (analytical) 2
  • BPC-157 literature and patent review (review) 1
  • Individual and combined administration in a rat Achilles tendon model (animal) 3

Limits of the evidence

The only combination study found is a single rat study with small groups. It tested the peptides as separately given agents, not as a pre-mixed blend, and its TB-500 material may not match the fragment in this product 3.

Findings for either peptide on its own, described in the BPC-157 and TB-500 overviews, should not be assumed to apply to the blend. Whether the two peptides interact in solution or in an experimental system has not been reported.

Questions

Is BPC-TB a new compound?

No. It is two separate peptides, BPC-157 and TB-500, combined in one vial in equal parts by mass. They are not chemically joined.

Has this blend been studied?

No published study of a pre-mixed blend was found. One 2026 rat study tested the two peptides alone and together, as separately given agents. Research on each peptide is summarised in its own overview.

Can OzPept advise on using BPC-TB?

No. OzPept supplies BPC-TB as a research chemical for laboratory use only. It is not a medicine, is not for human or animal use, and OzPept does not give dosing, preparation or usage advice.
